About Lindbergh

"The Lone Eagle"

With his masterful flight from Paris across the Atlantic in May 1919, the "Flying Fool" became a national hero who was received enthusiastically by thousands not only in Paris. Also New York held a ticker-tape parade in his honor down 5th Avenue. After all, he had succeeded as the first what many others had previously failed partly tragic:
A non-stop flight with an airplane from New York to Europe. And that in the record time of only 33.5 hours.

Today this air route is one of the most important worldwide and is covered by milions in less than 8 hours.

A controversial personality

Due to Lindbergh's membership in the Masons - whose symbol he even attached to the "Spirit of St. Louis" - and the America First Committee (AFC), an isolationist movement that attempted to prevent U.S. participation in the Second World War, he became more and a more shady.

When Göring presented Lindbergh the Grand Cross of the order of the German Eagle, a medal donated by Adolf Hitler and his warning in a speech to the AFC of the Jews posing a threat, his reputation diminished rapidly.

In his Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiography, Lindbergh distanced himself from the racial fanaticism of the Third Reich, but this could only partially whitewash his reputation.

At this point we want to distance ourselves emphatically from any form of racism and fascism!
The airline Lindbergh and their partners value and respect each human equally and regard aviation as a means of peace and international understanding!
With the name "Lindbergh" the airline refers only to Charles Lindbergh's aviation achievements, and has neither relation with any other organizations or groupings of this name, nor with the family of the aviation pioneer.

One for All

We believe that no one is "more equal" than any other. Therefore, there are no classes at Lindbergh. Each guest is a class of its own, and so we want to attend to you that way.
It is therefore almost a given, that you get a reserved seat and dont have to compete for the best places.
And the on-board service is of course included, because you have to do more important things than finding your loose change. For example, to play with your children enjoy games or our entertainment-program.
